Stupor Duck Daffy Duck Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1956). "Up there in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's... STUPOR DUCK!" This short was directed by Robert McKimson and starred Daffy Duck in a Superman parody that had Daffy as mild mannered newspaper reporter Cluck Trent who becomes bumbling superhero Stupor Duck. This fan-favorite short was released on 7/7/56. This is an extremely rare, 12 field, hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Daffy Duck in his Stupor Duck costume. You can see this image around the 3:18 mark when he says "That building over there, it's blowing up. Ah it's the evil work of Aardvark Ratnik. This is a job for Stupor Duck!" The cel is in need of total restoration. Ink outline with some paint remains. It has the thin Warner Brothers Pictures Inc. sticker and #48 inked in bottom right corner. Nice 6" image of Daffy in costume, with his cape flying. One of the only cels of Daffy as Stupor Duck in costume we have ever seen come to market! Fair condition.
