Star Trek: The Animated Series Captain Kirk Stock Production Cel with Master Background (Filmation, c. 1973-74). The good Captain of the USS Enterprise, James T. Kirk, stands ready for adventure in this original hand-painted 12 field production cel. The cel is noted as "STK7" in the lower peghole border, meaning this was a stock image used in multiple episodes of this animated continuation of the original 1966-69 television series. Kirk's close-up image is a large one, measuring approximately 9.5" x 8.25". The otherworldly background is a hand-painted production piece, believed to be from the third episode, "One of Our Planets Is Missing," which first aired on 9/22/1973. The cel and background setup has been matted, with an opening size of 10.5" x 8.5", and an overall mat size of 16.5" x 14.5". For fans and collectors of either the Original Series or the animated version, this cel is sure to make you a happy interplanetary camper!
