Description

Sport Goofy in Soccermania Beagle Boys Production Cel and Background plus Carl Barks "Invasion of Privacy" Signed Sold-Out Limited Edition Print #131/300 Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1987/1995). "So long boys. See you in ten to twenty!" The Beagle Boys' plan to steal Scrooge's valuable old trophy he mistakenly gave to Huey, Dewey, and Louie's soccer team blows up, leaving them bound for the pokey in this original hand-painted 12 field production cel. It's a great image of the boys (created in a 1951 comic book by Carl Barks) as they are hauled off, with an approximate size of 7" x 8", placed against a hand-painted animation background from an unknown production. The cel unfortunately has a severe upper right corner fold that partially overlaps the cel's image; the cel may benefit from professional restoration (cel image trimmed to outline and placed on a new acetate overlay). With the cel is a lithographic print of Uncle Scrooge McDuck hand-signed by his creator, comic artist/writer Carl Barks (1901 - 2000) called "Invasion of Privacy." In it, Scrooge is interrupted while reading about the Beagle Boys' parole by a whirring drill-bit coming up from the floor of his Money Bin. This hand-signed 1995 print measures 12" x 15" with an image size of 9" x 11" and comes with a Disney Gallery Images Certificate of Authenticity. The cel is in Fair to Good condition due to the fold and mostly minor handling wear, while the print is in Very Good to Fine condition with light edge wear.
