La première saison de SpongeBob était la seule à utiliser l'animation traditionnelle avant que la série ne passe au numérique, ce qui rend les œuvres de production originales très rares et très recherchées. This fantastic hand-painted original production cel setup features SpongeBob and Patrick Star in an image that measures 4.5" x 7.75" on the 12 field cels. This moment can be see around the 3:14 mark of the segment. The cels are taped to an original Master background rendered beautifully in gouache from the episode "Plankton!", attributed to background painter Andy "Spike" Clark. The first season of SpongeBob was the only to use tradition cel animation before the series switched to digital, making original production artwork very rare and highly sought after. The piece shows minor handling and edge wear from normal studio use, and the condition is Very Good.
