Description
SpongeBob SquarePants "Scaredy Pants" Patrick and SpongeBob Production Cel with Master Background (Nickelodeon, 1999). Trick or Treat! From the famous SpongeBob SquarePants Halloween segment, "Scaredy Pants," we have in this lot a sensational hand-painted production cel of SpongeBob and Patrick running in their "spooky" costumes. Airing for the first time on October 28, 1999, this episode had SpongeBob trying his best to scare everyone at Bikini Bottom, rather than being the one who's scared. The frightening pair is shown running with an overall image size of 6.75" x 6" on the two-layer 12-field, featuring SpongeBob as the Flying Dutchman (hence the clogs) and Patrick as the Flying Dutchman's best friend. To complete the fearful image, this cel is shown on a Master background of the segment appearing at about the 6:00 timestamp, rendering the inside of the skull-shaped rock in gouache on a 12-field background board. The cel is taped to the background by the bottom edge. A Viacom stamp is featured on the bottom left area of the background. Showing mild handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
