Description
SpongeBob SquarePants "Karate Choppers" Sandy Production Cel (Nickelodeon, 1999). "Heh, karate sure is dumb." "You can say that again." Joining her friend for a picnic, it's Sandy Cheeks from her appearance in the Episode 14 segment "Karate Choppers" of SpongeBob SquarePants presented in this original production cel. This series was one of the last Nicktoons to premiere in the 1990s, and the only one of the decade still airing with a total of 15 seasons and counting however only Season 1 was traditionally cel animated. "Karate Choppers" debuted on New Year's Eve 1999, revolving around SpongeBob's karate obsession and the problems it creates at the Krusty Krab. Towards the end of the segment Sandy agrees to try a new hobby with SpongeBob, and she can be spotted near the 8:10 timestamp of the segment when viewed online as they head to the park for a picnic. Hand-painted to full-figure with hand-inked details, she measures 2.25" x 4.25" nicely centered on the 12 field cel which bears production codes along the lower edge and has been paired with a print background for display purposes; a CoA is also included. With typical handling and edge wear including minor peghole tearing and slight surface wear/debris, overall this helpful friend in Very Good condition.Auction Info
