Description
SpongeBob SquarePants "Hooky" Patrick Star Production Cel (Nickelodeon, 2000). "There it is, SpongeBob. The carnival is back in town!" "Where is everybody?" Mistaking a popular fishing spot for a traveling carnival, Patrick is presented in this original production cel from Episode 20's "Hooky" of the iconic Nickelodeon series SpongeBob SquarePants. Currently the fourth-longest running American animated series ever with 15 seasons and over 300 episodes, this wildly-popular Nicktoon only utilized traditional cel animation for the first season. The first half of the season's finale episode, "Hooky" debuted on February 23, 2001 for the US but had actually premiered several months earlier in Australia and New Zealand on September 15, 2000. Having just arrived at his "carnival" Patrick can be spotted near the 2:23 timestamp of the segment when viewed online as he chooses a hook to ride on. Hand-painted with hand-inked detail to grand full-figure, Patrick measures 2" x 4" slightly right of center frame on the 15.25" x 10.5" pan cel which bears production codes along the lower edge and has been paired with a print background for display purposes. With typical handling and edge wear including minor linework wear, overall this carefree pal is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
