SpongeBob SquarePants "Hooky" Patrick and SpongeBob with Hook Production Cel (Nickelodeon, 2000). "Again?" "Again!" "Hehehe. 1, 2, 3- BLAST OFF!" Having the time of their lives, its SpongeBob and Patrick in this original production cel from Episode 20's "Hooky" of their fan-favorite Nicktoon SpongeBob SquarePants. Created by marine science teacher Stephen Hillenburg, this mega-popular Nickelodeon animated series ranks fourth in the list of longest running American animated series. It currently has 15 seasons though only the first produced using traditional cel animation. Concluding that first season, "Hooky" first premiered in Australia and New Zealand on September 15, 2000 with its US air date several months later on February 23, 2001. It saw Patrick convince his best friend to skip work for a carnival that turns out to be a popular and dangerous fishing spot that Patrick has confused the hooks for rides. Spotted near the 5:51 timestamp of the segment when viewed online, Patrick and SpongeBob are seen grabbing another hook for their next thrill ride. The duo have been hand-painted to full-figures with hand-inked detail sharing a combined image area of 2.5" x 5.75" including the hook and fishing line. The 12 field cel bears production codes along the lower edge and has been paired with a print background for display purposes. With typical handling and edge wear including minor paint wear/separation, overall this reckless decision is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
