Description
Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends Spider-Man Character Color Model Cel (Marvel Productions, c. 1985). Spider-Man stands in a picture-perfect hero pose in this fantastic hand-painted original color model cel, likely created for the animated series Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. The series follows the adventures of Spider-Man, Iceman, and the original character Firestar as they battle various villains of the Marvel Universe. The painted image area measures a large 7.25" x 11.5" on the vertically aligned 12 field cel. The cel is presented in a 14" x 18" mat with a window size of 9.5" x 12". Dated 2/10/85, this piece was created two years after the final episodes of the series, possibly created for promotional purposes. An excellent image of the beloved Marvel hero, the piece shows minor handling and edge wear, and the condition is Very Good.Auction Info
