Speaking of the Weather Charlie Chan Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1937). Frank Tashlin directed this cartoon that takes the audience into a drug store where all of the magazines on the rack come to life. It turned out to be a popular theme and he would direct two more of these type of cartoons in 1938 which are often referred to as the "The Tashlin Three." This is an extremely rare, hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Charlie Chan who has just stepped out of Detective Magazine and says, "Put your hands up, you're under arrest" It's a fantastic full-figure image that stands approximately 6" tall on a 2-peghole nitrate animation cel. There is some tape along the border, slight rippling in the left side, and paint loss in the hand face; otherwise, condition is Good, for a Warner Brothers cel from this era, which are considered extremely rare.
