Space Ace Shag and Dexter Production Cel (Don Bluth, c. 1983). Poor Dexter gets devoured by a hairy orange beast called Shag in this amazing hand-painted 16 field production cel. Shag appeared in the original Space Ace game as well as Space Ace II: Borf's Revenge and he appeared in one episode of the 1984 animated series produced by Ruby-Spears. This cel has an enormous image area, measuring approximately 10" x 11" - wow! What a wild image! The Space Ace LaserDisc video game was first offered in a limited release on the month of December 1983, and then as a wide release on 4/29/1984. It was a sequel to Don Bluth's very popular Dragon's Lair game. The cel is noted as 19 in the lower right corner; the background is a print, added for presentation purposes. The cel is in Very Good condition with minor handling wear.Auction Info
