Description
Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic and Robots Production Cel Setup with Production Background (DIC, c. 1993-94). Sonic taunts a couple of Dr. Robotnik's android guards in this "way past cool" original production cel setup from the hit animated series Sonic the Hedgehog, based on the popular video game franchise of the same name. The second series, after the lighthearted Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, this animated series follows the action-packed adventures of a group of woodland critters known as the Freedom Fighters as they combat the wicked dictator Dr. Robotnik. This excellent setup is displayed on a stunning original production background rendered masterfully in gouache on background board. The background is numbered BG-11, and the cels each bear the notation Sc. 11 or 11 at the bottom edge. The 12 field setup shows minor handling and edge wear, and the original Sonic production cel features thick linework, believed to be a rough xerographic printing from the original penciled animation drawing.
