Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Snow White Production Cel with Original Toby Bluth Background (Walt Disney, 1937). "We are standing by a wishing well. Make a wish into the well, that's all you have to do. And if you hear it echoing, your wish will soon come true." Snow White explains to a group of doves at the beginning of the first Disney animated feature film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, just before revealing, "I'm wishing for the one I love to find me today." The iconic Disney princess Snow White makes a star appearance in this outstanding lot, showcasing a gorgeous image of the beloved character as seen during one of the movie's first scenes at the 4:23 mark, just before Snow White reveals her hope to know the love of her life. With lips red as the rose, hair black as ebony, and skin white as snow, Snow White is featured measuring 5" x 5.25" on the hand-painted and hand-inked production cel, trimmed and featured on a stunning watercolor background created by the famous illustrator Toby Bluth (1940 - 2013), replicating the one we see during the movie. The lot is presented on a Plexiglas-fronted 17.25" x 14.25" mat with an 11.25" x 8.25" opening. Mat is sold as-is. With light handling wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
