    Description

Snow Business/Sandy Claws Sylvester and Tweety Production Cel and Pan Background Setup (Warner Brothers, 1953/55). "How'd you like to go sailing?" asks Sylvester to Tweety, who replies, "I love tailing!" Sylvester and Tweety are snowed in in Granny's cabin in this short. Snow Business was directed by Friz Freleng and released on 1/17/53. This is a rare 12 field hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of both Sylvester the Cat and Tweety Pie. This is where Sylvester cons Tweety into going sailing... into his pot of homemade Tweety Bird soup! You can see this rare production cel at the 2:48 mark. Great image size of 4.5". An old thin Warner Brothers Cartoons, Inc sticker is on the cel. The cel is placed on an outstanding hand-painted Tweety and Sylvester theatrical short pan background from Sandy Claws; it too was directed by Friz Freleng, and released on 4/2/55. Please note the background is hand-signed by Irv Wyner (1904 - 2002). Mr. Wyner was in the Friz Freleng unit, where he painted production theatrical backgrounds throughout 1952 - 1957. The cel and production background setup is Plexiglas-front framed with a mat opening size of 42" x 10". The overall frame is 53.5" x 21". The rare production cel and background both work well with the beach/boat theme. One of the best pure Tweety and Sylvester setups we have seen. Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
