Description
Snagglepuss Production Cel (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1970s-80s). "Heavens to Murgatroyd!" Big pink mountain lion-turned thespian ("Exit, stage left! Or right, even!") Snagglepuss stands next to a circus wagon with his name emblazoned on the side, in this original hand-painted production cel. Snagglepuss first appeared as a running segment in The Yogi Bear Show in 1961, and he later appeared on Yogi's Ark Lark (1972), Yogi's Gang (1973), Yogi's Treasure Hunt (1985), and several made-for-television animated movies like Yogi's Great Escape (1987) and The Good, the Bad, and Huckleberry Hound (1988). He stands full-figure at approximately 4.5" tall. The circus background, including Snag's wagon, are on a print background, added for presentation purposes. The cel is matted with an opening of 11.75" x 9.5" and is framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 22" x 18". The frame is sold as-is. Cel condition is Very Good with a crease along the bottom edge, away from the image.Auction Info
