Description
Sleeping Beauty Production Cel Setup (Walt Disney, 1959). "Just a tiny baby." comments Fauna as the three good fairies reflect on the baby that was taken into their care not so long ago. Here she prepares Briar Rose's 16th birthday cake in a scene at the 21:53 mark. This is an original hand-inked hand-painted production cel setup of Fauna and her pots, bowls, and pitchers of batter which have a combined measurement of 17" x 9" on 16 field cels. The cels are presented over a print of a pan Master background of the interior of the fairies' cottage. This classic Disney feature was the last to use hand-inked cels and the beautifully detailed inking in these represent the end of an era in animation. The large and wonderfully wistful image is in a 35" x 19" frame under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 26.5" x 10.5". The art shows minor handling and condition is Very Good.
