Description
Sleeping Beauty Prince Phillip Pan Production Cel and Master Pan Background Setup (Walt Disney, 1959). This very tense, but equally lovely, oversized pan production cel and Key Master background is a masterful combination of art! The castle dungeon background alone is fantastic and is most likely from the hand of either Eyvind Earle or Frank Armitage. Prince Phillip in chains is hand-inked and hand-painted, measuring 6.5" x 9.5". The cel is trimmed and affixed to a clear pan cel. It exhibits some apparent restoration work and glue residue may have slightly discolored some of the paint. The setup is Plexiglas front framed with a mat opening of 28.5" x 10.5". The cel has slipped down in the frame very slightly. Note the grisly beheading ax and block on the far right side. The background is in Fine condition; the cel in Very Good with restoration.Auction Info
