Description

Sleeping Beauty Flora Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1959). "Um, what do you think of the dress?" Included in this lot is an amazing hand-painted and hand-inked production cel of Flora in her human disguise she wears as Briar's aunt! She was created for the scene at about 33:27 as she asks Fauna and Merryweather what they think of the dress that she's made for Briar Rose, riddled with partially sewn seams and random bows for decoration. They aren't so thrilled with the final results, especially while Fauna's cake threatens to topple over next to them, and Merryweather finally decides to grab their wands so they can make Briar Rose the best gifts they can. The full figure cel measures about 4.25'' x 6.75'' and is displayed on a print background from a later scene in the film for presentation purposes, in a 20.25'' x 16'' mat and ready for display in your collection. The cel itself is a trimmed 16 field cel. The patient and dependable leader of the three good fairies is in Very Good condition with only light edge and handling wear and faint rippling to the cel.
From the Disney Legend Inductee Andreas Deja Collection.
