The Shohoku basketball team's disciplined captain, Takenori Akagi, is featured here in this stellar original production cel from the acclaimed and influential sports anime Slam Dunk. Famous for inspiring significant interest in basketball among high schoolers in Japan, Slam Dunk is one of the most popular titles in the genre. The recent film The First Slam Dunk grossed over $263 million worldwide as of July 2023, becoming one of the top ten highest-grossing anime films of all time. This 12 field cel has a large hand-painted image area of 10" x 7.25". Numbered A3 in the upper right corner, the cel shows normal studio handling and edge wear with some spots of paint separation.
