Description

Scrooge McDuck and Money Uncle Scrooge Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1967). "If I sat on my money, I might just as well be stranded on a desert island" says Uncle Scrooge as he lectures Huey, Dewey, and Louie about fiscal responsibility in this original hand-painted 16 field production cel. It's from the very first theatrical film appearance of Scrooge McDuck, directed by Hamilton Luske. Other than a cameo on television's Mickey Mouse Club, this was Scrooge's first screen appearance, as well as the first animated film released after the death of Walt Disney in December 1966. Scrooge can be seen in this pose at about the 13:31 timestamp. Scrooge's full-figure size is approximately 4" x 4", and the cel has been placed on a print of Scrooge's Money Bin for presentation purposes. The cel is matted with an opening of 13.5" x 9.75"; the mat has an overall size of 20" x 16". The cel is in Good to Very Good condition with some paint separation in one of the fur cuffs on Scrooge's coat.
