Description
Scrooge McDuck and Money Scrooge McDuck and Two Nephews Pair of Production Cels (Walt Disney, 1967). "Like the ocean currents control the world's weather, y'see, circulating money controls the economy." "And if you squeeze it too tight you'll stop its circulation!" Scrooge's grandnephews may not understand how money and the economy work, but they're sure trying in the pair of 16 field production cels in this lot. Both hand-painted cels were created for the Hamilton Luske-directed educational featurette Scrooge McDuck and Money, released on 3/23/1967. In the featurette, Scrooge tries to teach the triplets about money and economics, and dives into its history as well as concepts of inflation and budgeting. The 4.25'' x 4.25'' full figure hand-painted cel of two of the nephews was created for about 13:33 as one tries to practically demonstrate money losing its circulation (much to his brother's dismay) while the 4.5'' x 4.25'' cel of Scrooge was made for roughly 15:37 when he asks the boys if they understand money a little more than before. Both cels are displayed on a print background for presentation purposes and numbered 19 and 24 in the lower right. Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and faint curling of one cel.From the Disney Legend Inductee Andreas Deja Collection.
