Description
Scooby Goes Hollywood Scooby-Doo Production Cel and Animation Drawing (Hanna-Barbera, 1979). A parody of both the Scooby-Doo formula and of Hollywood in general. The story line is centered on Shaggy convincing Scooby that both of them deserve better than being stars in what he considers a low-class Saturday morning show, and attempts to pitch a number of potential prime-time shows to a network executive. Presented in this lot is a production cel of Scooby. Scooby, nicely centered in the piece, stands full figure at 5.25". The image is hand-painted on 12 field acetate. Included is the matching animation drawing, rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field animation paper. Both pieces are noted as SB9 in the lower right. The drawing has a production stamp that reads: 149/1 225 near the bottom center of the page. Mild production handling with paint chip and loss on Scooby's pants. Overall condition is Good.Auction Info
