Scooby-Doo Scrappy and Scooby Production Cel and Master Background (Hanna-Barbera, c.1980s). Here is an adorable production cel setup showing Scooby and Scrappy jamming out to some tunes! Debuting in 1969, the creation of character designer Iwao Takamoto (1925 - 2007), he studied Great Danes and then gave Scooby the opposite traits. He said, "I decided to go the opposite way and gave him a hump back, bowed legs, small chin and such. Even his color is wrong." Hand-painted on 12 field acetate, Scooby stands full figure at 5.75" with Scrappy measuring 3". The cel is paired with a hand-painted production background. Mild handling and edge wear.
