    Description

Sandy Claws Tweety Production Cel and Animation Drawings Group of 3 (Warner Brothers, 1955/c. 1960s-80s). "Help, help, I'm surrounded by the sea... the tide came in!" yells Tweety in his cage as Granny is getting her "Bikini" on in a dressing room. Sylvester to the rescue! This Friz Freleng-directed short was released on 4/2/55 and was nominated for an Academy Award. This is a rare, hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Tweety Bird, with a nice image of almost 4". You can see this image around the 2:53 mark into the short. Tweety cels of this size and from this era are very very rare. The cel is on a print background with a custom-made cage bars overlay. The cel is matted with an opening size of 7" x 11", framed with glass for an overall size of 13" x 17". Cel has major cracking and will require restoration. The cel condition is Fair. Also included with the cel is a rough consumer products drawing of Tweety, with sunglasses on his head (he wore them in Sandy Claws), believed to be done for a sunglasses ad. Art is in graphite and blue pencil, with an image size of 9"; matted with an opening of 7" x 11", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall 13" x 17". Drawing is in Very Good condition. A third Tweety piece is a great 5" full-figure animation drawing, circa 1970s/80s, most likely for a television production. The graphite and red pencil drawing is in Very Good condition, housed in a glass-front frame measuring 20" x 17", matted with an opening of 11" x 10". All three frames are sold as-is. Three great Tweety Pie production pieces in one lot!
