Roman City Acco Bouvaix Production Cel Setup and Key Master Background (PBS/Kurtz and Friends, 1994). David Macaulay's Emmy Award-winning PBS Special used live-action documentary narration at actual historic sites, dramatic still illustrations, and animation by Kurtz and Company to tell how Roman cities were built, and how corruption helped bring them down. In this original 12 field 2-cel setup, we see imprisoned Gallic leader Acco Bouvaix as he is about to be released by order of Augustus Caesar. This occurs at roughly the 46:30 mark within the Special. Combined image area is 12" x 8.5". The cels are placed over their Key Master background as seen in the film. The top cel is signed by animation director Bob Kurtz. Very Good condition with handling wear.
