Description
Road Runner Production Cel from Plymouth Road Runner Commercial (Warner Brothers, 1971). "Test Drive the New Road Runner... Hurry!" Wile E. Coyote tries to trick the Road Runner into thinking a wooden fake Dodge Road Runner is a real car, in this well-made television commercial. Legendary Warner Brothers animation director Robert McKimson (1910 - 1977) worked on this and other commercials for the Dodge Road Runner. This is a great 12 field hand-painted production cel of Road Runner from a 1971 Road Runner car commercial that can be seen around the 0:15 mark. This full-figure image of the Road Runner depicts him kicking the tires of the car, trying to figure out why the fake car won't start! Road Runner's hand-painted image measures about 2.5" x 3" on the cel, which is numbered in its lower right corner with 3. The cel is displayed atop a color print background for presentation purposes (the car is part of the print). The piece is in Very Good condition, with minor handling and edge wear, including minor debris.Auction Info
