Rikki-Tikki-Tavi Nagina Production Cel and Pencil Sketch (Chuck Jones Productions, 1975). In this lot are two pieces that share a Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002) and June Foray (1917 - 2017) connection. The first is a hand-painted production, multi-cel setup of Nagina the Cobra from the Jones-directed TV special of Rudyard Kipling's classic story Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. It's an impressive 7" tall image of the snake and her flickering tongue is on a separate cel. The piece is glass-front framed with a mat opening of 8.5" x 11.5" with a frame size of 13" x 17". Along with the cel is an original pencil sketch of Nagina and a girl bunny on Jones' stationary. The bunny is gesturing towards the cobra and saying "Actually, we're sisters." It's dedicated to June Foray who provided the voice of Nagina (along with a multitude of other Jones-directed characters over the course of decades). The dedication reads, "To June with love and undying gratitude for our favorite cobra, our favorite girl rabbit and everything in between. Chuck Jones Enterprising Associates". Both are in Fine Condition. From the June Foray Collection.
