Ralph Bakshi Films Cels and Background Group of 6 (Ralph Bakshi, 1972-78). The animated films of Ralph Bakshi prove the animated medium can push the envelope pretty far! Here's a way-cool grab-bag of hand-painted cels and backgrounds from a few of Bakshi's earlier films, including Fritz the Cat, Lord of the Rings, and Hey Good Lookin'. From Fritz the Cat, we have a hand-inked, hand-painted 12 field cel scene in a Key Master setup, with matching production background, from the pool hall sequence. From Hey Good Lookin', we have Stomper Sal's girlfriend who survives the car crash at the Rock Show, and crawls out to grab the mike, in a pair of 16 field cels. From Lord of the Rings, a 16 field cel with an early scene with Gandalf and Bilbo Baggins, plus two incredibly detailed 20" x 15" production backgrounds that appear to be from the Mines of Moria, possibly from unused scenes. They are fantastic! Overall condition is Good, with handling wear.Auction Info
