Description
Raid Television Commercial Production Cel signed by Don Pegler with Animation Drawing (SC Johnson, c. 1970s-80s). These pesky bugs fly in perfect coordination in this hand-painted production cel setup from one of the famous Raid commercials, signed by the illustrator and animator, Don Pegler. Pegler, who developed the Raid bug characters, once said, "I just blow them up... every time!" The production cel setup shows two sets of bugs flying. The lot also includes a great animation drawing of the three bugs flying downwards, rendered in graphite on blue pencil, and numbered F63 in the bottom right corner. The production cel is matted with an opening of 10.25" x 7.5", and set on a printed background for presentation purposes. The animation drawing has handling and edgewear from production, with some crumpling on the left edge. The production cel has some slight waviness and light handling wear from production.
