Princess Mononoke San and Moro Production Cel and Animation Drawing (Studio Ghibli, 1997). "The wolves are coming! It's the Wolf Princess!" The guards of Tataraba (Irontown) sound the alarm as San and Moro charge the gates in this fantastic hand-painted original production cel from Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke. Seen at the 45:37 mark of the Studio Ghibli classic, this spectacular piece features the characters in dynamic, high-action poses measuring 12.5" x 6" on the 13.75" x 9" cel. This cel can be seen on page 128 of the German Film Institute's gallery exhibition book Ga-Netchu! The Manga Anime Syndrome. In addition, the cel is accompanied by its matching original animation drawing rendered in graphite and color pencil. Both pieces are numbered A41 in the upper right corner. Each piece shows minor handling and edge wear from normal studio use, and the drawing shows significant surface tearing. The drawing is in Damaged condition, and the cel's condition is Very Good.
