Description
Porky's Poultry Plant Porky Pig Trimmed Black and White Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1936). "My poor little chi-chi-chi-chicken!" Poultry farmer Porky is having trouble with chicken hawks, in this 1936 Looney Tunes short directed by Frank Tashlin (credited as Frank Tash), his first for the studio. Here's an extremely rare hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Porky from this black and white short. This version of Porky looks older than he would appear after his younger and cuter 1939 redesign by Bob Clampett's unit. The cel can be seen at the 3:57 mark, as Porky looks over a wall filled with pictures of abducted hens and vows to do something about the hawks, right before one shows up and nabs a little chick. This great full-figure image of an angry Porky measures approximately 5.25" x 4.5". The cel is matted with an opening of 6.5" x 6.5" and framed with glare-resistant glass, for an overall size of 14" x 14". In Good to Very Good condition, trimmed with minor handling wear.Auction Info
