    Description

Porky's Last Stand Porky Pig Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1940). "Our fried chicken has that real fowl taste!" reads the sign over Porky's Diner. This is a rare black and white hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Porky Pig from the opening scene, where he is making breakfast pancakes. You can see this around the 1:07 mark when he sings "To start the day right!" Bob Clampett directed this Looney Tunes short from a script by Warren Foster; it was released on 1/6/40. Nice large image size measuring 7" x 8". The cel is trimmed and laminated to colored board, as were all cels released under this Warner Brothers art program at the time. The silk-screened print reads, "This is an original painting I used in -- Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. Leon Schlesinger." Matted with an opening size of 11" x 9"; overall mat size is 17" x 17". Fine condition.
