    Description

    Popeye and Son End Credits Production Cel Key Background Setup (Hanna-Barbera/King Features, 1987). This animated series updated the Popeye characters; Popeye and Olive are now married with a son, Junior, while Bluto is also married, with a son named Tank. Both fathers and sons remain rivals. Here is the original final end credits hand-painted 2-cel setup, as seen at the end of each episode. The image of Popeye, Junior, and head band-wearing Olive aboard Popeye's boat (also named Olive, naturally) has an overall size of 4.75" x 5.5", including the blue water waves. The text is all on a separate cel. The Key production background is a progressive yellow (fading from light to dark) sheet of paper, with a protective cel overlay and backing board, as seen in the original cartoons. You can see this ending on YouTube. Minor handling wear; Very Good condition.
