Description

Pokémon Pikachu Production Cel and Animation Drawing (OLM, c. 1997-2002). "Who's that Pokémon?" Since its first appearance back in 1996, Pokémon has turned into a worldwide phenomenon that has spawned many videogames, a still-ongoing anime series, a trading card game, and countless items of merchandise that instill collectors all over the world with a desire to "catch 'em all!" There are currently over 1,000 Pokémon, and many fans would agree that Pikachu is perhaps the most popular and emblematic one, effectively serving as the mascot for the franchise. Presented here with a concerned expression the little electric mouse measures approximately 1.5" x 1.5", full-figured on the 12 field cel which has been placed on a print background for display purposes. The cel is accompanied by its matching animation drawing rendered in graphite and colored pencil on 12 field animation paper. The cel and drawing share matching production codes of B16 found in the upper right. With typical studio handling and wear including minor paint wear with some fading to the cel's linework and light toning to the peghole edge of the drawing, overall this charming pair is in Very Good condition.
