Description
Pluto's Kid Brother Production Cel Courvoisier Setup with Walt Disney Signature (Walt Disney, 1946). Here's something rarely seen -- an original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Pluto's little brother from the Pluto-starring short directed by Charles Nichols, released on 4/12/1946. This is an original Courvoisier setup with a custom airbrushed background in a cream-colored mat. The cels are hand-trimmed and added to the background; Kid Brother can be found at the 5:22 mark, while the cat, garbage can, and flying tin cans can be seen at the 1:41 mark. Although the hand-lettered title on the mat has faded, the "WDP" stamp is still visible. The Big Man himself, Walt Disney hand-signed the mat, under the stamp. The setup has been rematted, in a double mat that opens to reveal the old mat and signature. The original opening is 7.5" x 6.5". The setup is framed with Plexiglas, which has a brass title plate, and the Courvoisier label on back (which is partially ripped, missing the cartoon's title). Overall frame size is 19.25" x 17.25". Frame is sold as-is. Background shows a tiny bit of foxing, but no real problems with the painted cels. Very Good condition.Auction Info
