    Description

Pluto's Christmas Tree Mickey Mouse Production Cel Setup with Key Master Background (Walt Disney, 1952). "Hoop dee, Pluto, let's go get our Christmas tree!" Mickey finds the perfect tree to decorate for the holidays. Unfortunately it is also the home of Chip and Dale. This is an original 12-field hand-inked and hand-painted production cel setup of Mickey Mouse chopping down a Christmas tree from the 1:32 mark in the beloved short directed by Jack Hannah. It is one of the few Disney shorts directed by Hannah not to star Donald Duck, although Donald does make a cameo at the end. Mickey measures 4.5" tall and the multi-cel setup includes him and the snow covered tree. It is over the hand-painted Key Master background from this scene. The background is painted in gouache and marked with the production number 2436 along the upper border. This vintage Mickey Mouse Key Master setup would bet the ultimate Christmas gift for any Mickey collector. The piece is matted with an opening of 11" x 9" with an overall measurement of 21" x 17" There are a couple of spots on Mickey's ears where the black paint has been touched up; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
