Pinocchio Lampwick Production Cel Setup and Master Background (Walt Disney, 1940). "Where do you suppose all the kids went to, Lampwick?" asks Pinocchio. "Oh they're around here somewhere. What do you care, you're having a good time, ain't ya?" replies Lampwick as he plays pool, smoking cigars along with Pinocchio. This is an outstanding hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Lampwick with his pool stick and the cigar he just picked up off the pool table. Two pool balls are also trimmed to the image and mounted. The three-cel setup is on its Master hand-painted production background of the pool table from the Pleasure Island Scene. Backside of the background has written 200 3 Seq 8 -3 Sc 11. The detail on the background painting is staggering. Backgrounds on this film were painted Claude Coats, Merle Cox, Ray Huffine, Art Riley, Ed Starr, Dick Anthony, and Mique Nelson. The background alone in this lot is a masterpiece of a painting. Lampwick is trimmed to image of 4" and mounted to the background. Background is matted is a mat opening of 14.5" x 11". Fine condition.
