Pinocchio Jiminy Cricket Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1940). Ward Kimball was the driving force behind Jiminy Cricket and after his appearance in Pinocchio, Jiminy went on to star in a variety of animated films, and TV shows. This is an original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel that has been trimmed to the image, and mounted to a clear acetate cel. The full-figure image of Jiminy stands approximately 3.5" tall. This is a particularly rare image of Jiminy from the start of the film where he is still in his tattered clothing. The cel is presented over a wonderful custom painted background and framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 8.25" x 9.25" in a 16.5" x 17.5" frame. The cel has likely had minor professional restoration and condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.
