Pinocchio Jiminy Cricket Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1940). Looking out for Pinocchio, his official conscience Jiminy Cricket hitches a ride on the wagon to Pleasure Island in this original production cel from Disney Studio's second feature film. This hand-inked, hand-painted production cel is in its original Courvoisier Galleries setup. The meticulously trimmed nitrate cel is over a custom painted airbrush background and in its original mat with" Jiminy Cricket" handwritten just under the art. The original Courvoisier Galleries sticker is applied to the back of the frame. The mat bears a Walt Disney Signature that is attributed to a studio artist and not by Walt himself. It's a wonderfully large image of the tiny cricket measuring 6.5" x 5". In this rare instance around the 53:47 mark he breaks the 4th wall and addresses the film's audience. The piece is framed under glass with a mat opening of 8" x 7" in a 15" x 14" frame. The paint shows a few minor cracks in the wagon bolt area along the top of the image; otherwise, condition is Fine. The frame is sold as-is.
