Pinocchio "I Got No Strings" Production Cel Setup with Master Painted Background (Walt Disney, 1940). "To conclude the performance of this great show, Stromboli, the master showman (that's me), and by special permission of management (that's me too), is presenting to you something you will refuse to believe. Introducing the only marionette who can sing and dance absolutely without the aid of strings, the one and only... PINOCCHIO!" This is an outstanding hand-inked hand-painted production cel setup of Pinocchio with the Dutch Marionettes, from the "I've Got No Strings" song sequence. These are nice large full figure images measuring 5" and 6". The three cels are trimmed to image and mounted on a Master hand-painted pre-production background, also from the "I've Got No Strings" song sequence. It is shown when the Can Can dancers emerge, at approximately the 39:17 mark. This is, without a doubt, one of the finest Pinocchio background setups we have seen come to market! Framed with glass; matted with an opening size of 12" x 8". Overall frame size is 19" x 15". There is a light glue stain under the Pinocchio cel; otherwise, in Fine condition.Auction Info
