    Description

Pinocchio Geppetto and Pinocchio Production Cel and Background (Walt Disney, 1940). Original hand-inked and hand-painted production cels of Geppetto, Pinocchio, and Figaro from an early scene in the film in which Pinocchio's finger catches fire. Geppetto is a huge 10" tall, while Pinocchio is 6" and Figaro is approximately 2" x 2.25". The paint is in Fine condition. A great Key Master set-up, with the cels placed over a hand-painted production background matted and framed to 27" x 22.75". Three-character production cels on production backgrounds for the same film are rare, and this is one of the nicest set-ups we have seen from Pinocchio. NOTE: This piece was highlighted on Page 70, Sequence 86 in the Pinocchio book by Pierre Lambert. This elaborate book on the artwork of Pinocchio was published by Demons and Merveilles in 1995.

The way you grouped lots, photographed, and presented the material was too notch. I was impressed that you took the time to attribute coins to the Krause reference as their "plate coin" and that many of your descriptions included pertinent facts and infor
