Pinocchio Figaro and Pinocchio Production Cell with Claude Coates Master Background (Walt Disney, 1940). This is an amazing hand-inked and hand-painted production cel of Pinocchio and Figaro on an original Master background by Disney artist and imagineer Claude Coats (1913 - 1992), who was inducted a Disney Legend in 1991. The combination of cels over a brightly colored original production background is breathtaking. Both Figaro and Pinocchio have been meticulously trimmed and applied to a common cel. The piece is framed with a mat opening of 7" x 9.5 in a 17" x 19.5" frame. On the mat is a brass plate reading, "Pinocchio & Figaro - Original Production Cel with Master Background by Claude Coats 1940". There is a very small area of paint separation on Pinocchio's left shoe; otherwise, condition is Fine.
