Description
Pinocchio Figaro and Pinocchio Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1940). Pinocchio and the adorable kitten Figaro are featured here in this expressive hand-inked and hand-painted original production cel setup from Walt Disney's animated feature masterpiece Pinocchio. The second of Disney's long line of animated feature classics, Pinocchio set a new high standard for the medium. Film critic Leonard Maltin said, "with Pinocchio, Disney reached not only the height of his powers, but the apex of what many critics consider to be the realm of the animated cartoon." These cels from the widely acclaimed film are meticulously trimmed to image and displayed on a custom hand-painted background prepared by the Courvoisier Galleries, rendered in gouache on board. Pinocchio's cel can be seen at the 27:42 mark of the film. The setup is framed under glass with a mat window size of 4.25" x 4.25" and an overall frame size of 12.5" x 12.5". All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The back of the frame bears on official Courvoisier galleries Certificate of Authenticity.
