Pinky and the Brain Production Cel Signed by Tom Ruegger (Warner Brothers, c. 1995-98). "Pinky, if you don't stop this foolishness, I shall have to hurt you." Brain storms off leaving behind a concussed or confused Pinky behind him in this original hand-painted production cel from the world dominating comedy, Pinky and the Brain, signed by series creator Tom Ruegger. Tom is best known for his pivotal role in making the Animaniacs, and Pinky and the Brain's spin off show. He also contributed animation and writing to Hanna-Barbera and Filmation studios, until gaining his production role at Warner Brothers Animation in 1989 leading to a decade-long creative collaboration with Steven Spielberg. This duo of lab mice were first introduced as a segment piece for the acclaimed Animaniacs in 1993, to rise in popularity and get their own show that ran from 1995 to 1998. Based on production codes near the bottom edge of the sheet this setup is likely from their 1995 show. The hand-painted image of the two world conquerors measures about 4.5" x 6" for Brain and 3" x 4.25" for Pinky. Nicely filling composition of the 2-layer 12 field cel setup, which is presented on a print background for display purposes. The cel includes a WB seal on the lower left corner and is hand-signed in black marker by Tom on the lower right. A Clampett Studio COA is included. With minor handling wear, surface debris, and linework wear and slight fading throughout. Overall, this piece of production artwork is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
