Description
Peter Pan Tinker Bell Color Model Cel with Production Background (Walt Disney, 1953). "Yes Miss Bell, Captain Hook admits defeat. Tomorrow I leave the Island... never to return." These are the words Captain Hook says to Tinker Bell as he plays the harpsicord in his scheme to get her to tell him where Peter Pan and the Lost Boys' hideout is. This is an original Disney Art Props Department setup of Tinker Bell. Tink is trimmed to image and mounted to a trimmed production background. The background is the cork she sits and pouts on when Captain Hook is "admitting defeat". You can see the background around the 53:13 mark into the film. Background is rendered in gouache and trimmed to 10" x 10", and Tink is a great full-figure image of 5". The wings, wand and pixie dust are airbrushed onto the trimmed production background. Setup has the Art Props Department mat finish applied to the cel, and the setup was mostly done at the studio for a VIP gift or studio display. Tinker Bell is one hard to find character in animation art. Presented in a mat of 19.75" x 15.75". Condition is Good, and the mat is sold as-is.Auction Info
