    Description

Peter Pan Production/Color Model Cel (Walt Disney, 1953) Peter reattaches his shadow at the 12:38 mark in this popular Disney film. Few know that this beloved Disney classic which was released in 1953 was originally pitched to studio execs in the late '30s, but was shelved due to the war. For reasons unknown, very little art from this particular film exists making exceptional pieces like this original production cel of the title character very rare. The hand-inked, hand-painted cel features one of the largest images of Peter we have seen, measuring 9" tall. The cel has been trimmed to a size of 12" x 9" and stapled to blue board on the top center border. This is a phenomenal cel from a Disney feature film that has delighted generations. The piece shows light handling wear and some paint has stuck to the backing board along the bottom edge; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
