Description
Peter Pan Captain Hook Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1953). "Curse this hook!" A monumental image of the heinous Captain Hook takes the spotlight in this lot, featuring an amazing hand-painted and hand-inked picture of the iconic antagonist of Peter Pan. One of the most famous Disney Villains, this infamous pirate was voiced by Hans Conrad (1917 - 1982) and his animation was supervised by one of Walt's Nine Old Men and Disney Legend, Frank Thomas (1912 - 2004). Numbered 59 in the bottom right corner, this gigantic image of Captain Hook has the character measuring a figure size of 10.25" x 10.75", appearing at the 1:08:06 timestamp, as he tries to free his hook to continue fighting Peter Pan. The cel is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. Minor paint wear can be seen on Captain Hook's cravat, with a small piece of paint missing from the bottom area of his sword. The cel is trimmed and overall showcases mild handling and edge wear from production. In Good to Very Good condition.Auction Info
