Description
Peter Pan Big Chief Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1953). "For many moons, Redman fight pale-face lost boys, sometimes you win, sometimes we win." Presented in this lot is a fabulous hand-inked and hand-painted production cel from the 1953 Disney animated movie Peter Pan that features a superb image of the Big Chief, known as Chief Great Big Little Panther in the original novel by J.M. Barrie. This image of the magistral character shows up at about the 36:09 mark of the film, and he measures a figure size of 9.5" x 7.25" on the 16-field production cel. The controversial character shows up for a short time during the film, making cels like this particularly rare! This lot is offered on a 17" x 14.5" mat with a 12" x 9.5" mat opening. The cel shows cracks on the paint and wear on the linework. Mat is sold as-is. With light handling wear from production and minor warping. The lot's condition is Good to Very Good.Auction Info
