Description

Pete's Dragon Elliott the Dragon Production Cel and Ken Anderson Storyboard Drawing with Publicity Photos Group (Walt Disney, 1977). Pete's sometimes invisible dragon pal Elliott is generally good-natured, but don't get him angry, or he might roast you! Here's an original hand-painted production cel of Elliott in his seaside cave, looking pretty mad and ready to chase out intruders. Elliott is painted in dark colors for this scene; he has an overall approximate image size of 5.25" x 6.75", placed on a photo background of the cave interior. The cel is matted with an opening of 10.5" x 8.5", and an overall mat size of 14" x 11". With the cel is an original storyboard drawing of a smoking-mad Elliott by Disney Legend Ken Anderson (1909 - 1993) done in Conté crayon on paper measuring 7" x 5.5", mounted to heavyweight black paper measuring 11.25" x 8.75". Also included are two "behind-the-scenes" 8" x 10" black and white photos, including one of the Elliott hand-sculpted maquette, and a photo inside the cave with producer Joe Hale (who signed), Ken Anderson, scene director Don Chaffey, and (partially obscured) Sean Marshall, who plays Pete. Very Good to Fine condition, with handling wear on the storyboard drawing.
