Peanuts You're in Love, Charlie Brown Charlie Brown Production Cel (Bill Melendez, 1967). Charlie Brown plucks the petals from a daisy in this original hand-inked hand-painted production cel from the fourth animated Peanuts television special, You're in Love, Charlie Brown (1967). Written by Charles M. Schulz and directed by Bill Melendez, the story follows Charlie Brown's tender and awkward attempts to connect with the elusive Little Red-Haired Girl-who, staying true to the comic strip, is never seen on screen. The image of Charlie measures 2" x 2.5" on a 12 field production cel which is paired with a print background for presentation purposes. It's an adorable image from an early Peanuts TV special that received three Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Achievement in Children's Programming, and individual nominations for Schulz and Melendez-making it the most nominated Peanuts special of its time. This nearly 60 -year-old production cel is in Very Good condition with minor handling wear and some warping at the edges. A wonderfully sweet treasure for any Peanuts collector!Auction Info
